CHICAGO (AP) _ Arenafootball2, the developmental league for Arena Football, realigned its 28 teams Tuesday.
AF2 will have an American Conference and a National Conference, with two divisions in each. The American Conference will be made up of the Northeast and Southeast divisions, while the National will have Midwest and South Central divisions.
The 2001 schedule will be released on Friday.
The Northeast division will have teams from Rochester, N.Y.; Norfolk, Va.; Roanoke, Va.; Richmond, Va.; Greenville, S.C.; Charleston, S.C.; and Greensboro, N.C.
In the Southeast will be teams from Georgia and Florida. The Georgia sites are Macon, Augusta and Columbus. From Florida, it's Pensacola, Tallahassee, Fort Myers and Jacksonville.
The defending ArenaCup champion Quad City Steamwheelers of Davenport, Iowa, head the Midwest, along with teams from Des Moines, Iowa; Peoria, Ill.; Lincoln, Neb.; Tulsa, Okla.; Louisville, Ky; and Wichita, Kan.
ArenaCup runner-up Tennessee Valley (Huntsville, Ala.) is in the South Central, along with Baton Rouge, La; Little Rock, Ark.; Birmingham, Ala.; Memphis, Tenn.; Bossier City, La.; and Lafayette, La.
