(Tulsa-AP) -- A former Kiefer assistant police chief who's been accused of embezzlement says former co-workers concocted allegations against him.

The embezzlement charge against David Palmerchuck has been dropped, but Creek County District Attorney Max Cook says a new charge may be filed.

Palmerchuck and former Kiefer Police Chief David Little were accused of snorting methamphetamine taken from the police property room.

Palmerchuck contends Little and part-time dispatcher Gary King fabricated allegations that Palmerchuck was seen snorting the drug to divert attention from Little.
