Texas' Simms, Stockton, Nebraska's Bosch, OU's Calmus named Big 12 players of the week

DALLAS (AP) _ Texas quarterback Chris Simms, who threw a career-high 383 yards and three touchdowns in the Longhorns' 43-17 win over Texas A&M, was named Big 12 offensive player of the week Monday.
Simms, whose longest pass of the day was 70 yards to B.J. Johnson, helped Texas to its third consecutive nine-win season for the first time since 1981-83.
Vanden Bosch had 11 tackles, seven solo and three tackles for negative yardage, as the Cornhuskers defeated Colorado 34-32. Vanden Bosch led Husker linemen for the season in tackles (56), sacks (5.5) and hurries (26).
Calmus had nine tackles, including a safety and three for losses, in Oklahoma's 12-7 win over Oklahoma State. The Sooners' defense held the Cowboys to 275 yards, one touchdown and 13 first downs.
Kris Stockton earned special teams honors for his kicking and punting during Texas' win. Stockton went 3-for-3 on field goals and averaged 37-yards per punt. He also had a 50-yard punt and a touchback on a kickoff.
