The Food and Drug Administration says there's now back-up protection for people who don't get the flu shot. The F-D-A says the prescription drug Tamiflu can shorten and possibly prevent the flu. But health experts say while Tamiflu can be used as a safety measure, the innouculations are still the best medicine.
There's been a delay in the release the flu vaccine. As a result, health officials are asking healthy people to wait to get their shots, so people at higher risk like the elderly, can receive the vaccine first.
