(Stilwell-AP) -- A 25-year-old man is charged with first-degree murder in Adair County in the death of his 40-year-old stepmother.

Authorities say Rodney Wilson is accused of shooting Theresa Wilson following a dispute yesterday afternoon outside a home in the Bell community. Rodney Wilson was arrested early this morning following an interview with authorities.

Rodney Wilson is currently held in the Adair County Jail and prosecutors say they'll ask that he be held without bail during a formal arraignment this morning.
