(Tulsa-AP) -- Tulsa football coach Keith Burns confirms that he has met with transfer quarterback Gary Brashears, but says Brashears has not left the football team.

Burns says he will meet again with the former Parade All-American to determine what's best for him, and what's best for the Golden Hurricane team.

Brashears is still enrolled in classes at Tulsa but was not present for a team photograph that was taken yesterday at Skelly Stadium.

He transferred to the Hurricane in August, nine days after leaving the University of Arkansas, where he had signed after high school.
