If you who visited the KOTV Channel 6 booth at the Tulsa State Fair this year, then you know KOTV was giving away a “backyard survival kit†consisting of a hot tub, grill, and patio furniture to the person who guessed how many ounces of rice were in the hot tub.
Gwen Findley of Fort Gibson won the contest with a guess of 21,190 ounces of rice. How did she come up with that number? "I noticed there were fifty pound bags, and five pound boxes, so I multiplied by the amount I thought was there," she said. Findley missed the actual number by only two ounces.Officially there were 21,192 ounces in the hot tub.
KOTV would like to thank everyone who participated in the contest. Stay tuned. Another exciting contest will be on tap at next year’s fair.
