(Denver-AP) -- Timothy McVeigh's latest court appeal was rejected today by a federal judge in Denver.
U-S District Court Judge Richard Matsch (Maych) says there is not enough evidence to throw out McVeigh's conviction and death penalty for the 1995 bombing of the Oklahoma City federal building.
McVeigh claimed he received ineffective counsel from attorney Stephen Jones and that Jones had a conflict of interest. McVeigh also said he deserved a new trial because the government withheld evidence and jurors were dishonest in pretrial questionnaires.
After reviewing McVeigh's appeal, Matsch said McVeigh received a zealous defense as well as a fair trail from an impartial jury.
