Hometown to honor Ryan Franklin

(Spiro-AP) -- Olympic baseball gold medalist Ryan Franklin will be honored this weekend in his hometown of Spiro.

The festivities will begin at 2 p-m at Spiro High School in LeFlore County. Speakers will share memories of Franklin. Franklin will be available for autographs and pictures while refreshment are served.

Franklin led Spiro to the 1991 Class Three-A state baseball title.
