(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A nearly 200-year-old border dispute between Oklahoma and Texas officially ended Wednesday, according to Governor Keating.

A boundary line that defines part of the border was drawn across Lake Texoma by the Oklahoma Contingency Review Board. That boundary is believed to be the last portion of the border dispute between the two states.

The Red River Boundary Compact defines the state border as the vegetation line along the south bank of the Red River. In Lake Texoma, the line follows the submerged river bed.
