(Tulsa-AP) -- A Jenks man has pleaded no contest to first-degree manslaughter in the death of a Broken Arrow man killed inside the home of his estranged wife.

Thirty-year-old Jeffery Phillip Lacy is scheduled to be sentenced November First for the January stabbing death of Joseph Edward Williams.

The 40-year-old Williams was stabbed multiple times with a hunting knife.

Broken Arrow police say Lacy said he acted in self-defense.

The Tulsa County District Attorney's Office has recommended a five-year prison sentence in the case.

Police say Williams violated a protective order by going to the home of Linda Williams, from whom he was separated. Authorities say a fight broke out and that is when Williams was killed.
