(Norman-AP) -- An Oklahoma City art collector has left the University of Oklahoma a collection of French Impressionist paintings that include works by Monet, Gauguin, Toulouse-Lautrec and Van Gogh.

Clara Weitzenhoffer's gift to O-U has an estimated value of about 50 (M) million dollars.

The university announced the gift today.

The gift includes 22 paintings and eleven works on paper. It also includes her 17th- and 18th-century decorative arts such a period furniture, porcelain and silver.

The university says the collection has rarely been shown in the past 50 years. It will be on public display for the first time on November 14th at the university's museum of art and will be on display through January 14th.

The artwork and decorative objects will eventually be permanently housed in a new addition to the museum.
