(Kiefer-AP) -- The Kiefer High School football coach has been fired.

School superintendent Tom Cameron says coach Todd Scott has been fired for disrespect.

Cameron wouldn't elaborate on why Scott was fired except to say it was for disrespect.

Scott's football duties were terminated at a September 12th school board meeting. Officials say he has been suspended with pay from his teaching duties.

A hearing on Scott's teaching status has been scheduled for October Ninth.

Kiefer's defensive coordinator Mike McCormick has been named interim coach for the remainder of the season.

Kiefer is a Class A school in Creek County six miles south of Sapulpa.
