(Nowata-AP) -- Nowata County authorities say a suspect was shot in the head and a deputy was shot in the hand after a gunfight.

Deputy Billy Scott has been treated and released from a local hospital. Bill Guthrie was shot in the head and is now in a Tulsa hospital.

Guthrie and his uncle, Steve Hindman, were in a car stopped by Scott just after 5 p-m. Scott says authorities had been looking for one of the suspects for several days.

He was wanted in connection with an armed robbery in Bartlesville.

Authorities say Hindman is still on the loose near the Verdigris River and Big Creek in Nowata County.

A Tulsa Police Department helicopter equipped with a searchlight is being used in the nighttime search for Hindman.

An Oklahoma Highway Patrol plane began searching shortly after the shootings.

Authorities say Guthrie and Hindman's car was full of guns and Hindman is considered very dangerous.
