Nowata-AP-- Nowata County officials are investigating an apparent murder-suicide.

Authorities say the Sheriff's Office received a call about two a-m yesterday, in which the caller said he had just shot his wife and was going to shoot himself. Authorities say the caller then hung up.

Officers found the bodies of 68-year-old Dave Cody and Kathleen Cody, who was in her late 50s just southwest of the Nowata city limits. Both had been shot in the head.

Undersheriff Jay Long says information suggests the couple had been married only three or four months.
