Tulsa County Sheriff Stanley Glanz will have the chance to reclaim his job in November’s general election.

Glanz has won his Republican primary with more than 80% of the vote with more than 75% of precincts reporting. Larry Bayles garnered 14% and Charles Burton earned 8%.

Glanz will face Democrat Dale Eberle in November. Eberle was unopposed for the Democratic nomination. Glanz has only had one other primary in his four previous election bids, that was in 1992. He says it’s good to have some competition for his job. “It keeps you honest. It keeps you humble and makes you work hard,” said Glanz.

Glanz has been Tulsa County Sheriff since 1989.
