(Norman-AP) -- Late summer two-a-days aren't a favorite of most football players. Roger Steffen isn't most players.
The senior linebacker at the University of Oklahoma says he likes two-a-days and is even looking forward to the Sooners' first full-squad workouts today -- his birthday. The El Reno native joined O-U in 1997 as a 190-pound, walk-on tight end.
Steffen says each year he went into practices as Number Four on the depth chart. He said he was having a good time and just did his best. But last season he got a starting position as a strongside linebacker. He is favored today to retain his position.
