(Camp Gruber-AP) -- The U-S Army chief of staff got to see what as been called the world's greatest video game being played today by members of Oklahoma's 45th Infantry Brigade. General Eric Shinseki saw the 45th Infantry Brigade participating in an exercise called "War Fighter," a computer simulation battle, during his tour of Camp Gruber in eastern Oklahoma.

Brigadier General Jerry Grizzle says the computer exercise has all the elements of a wartime environment. The computerized version, he said, knows everything from the capability of a single rifleman to the type of terrain on which a battle is being fought. Grizzle says the brigade won the battle. In addition to the video war game, Shinseki inspected the tactical operations center of the Seventh Infantry Division, which has the responsibility of training National Guard brigades out of Oklahoma, Arkansas and Oregon. The general was shown the headquarters command and control structure that would be used to evaluate a brigade.
