Golfers with Oklahoma ties knocked out of amateur tourney

(Portland, Oregon-AP) -- Two players with ties to Oklahoma have been eliminated from the U-S Amateur Public Links Championship in Portland, Oregon.

Martin Maritz, who attended the University of Tulsa, lost to qualifying medalist D.J. Trahan of Clemson.

Defending champion Hunter Hass, out of Oklahoma, lost to Jered Gusso of Methodist College in Minnesota.
