Fifth person arrested in death of couple

(Ponca City-AP) -- Ponca City police Thursday arrested a fifth person in connection with the fatal stabbing of an elderly man and a woman. Officers took 64-year-old Everett L-Davis into custody on a complaint of being an accessory to murder after the fact.

Davis is the father of Randy Wade Davis, who was charged earlier this week with two counts of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit robbery by force and fear. The men live together in a house just eight blocks from the house where 76-year-old Warren Littlecook and 61-year-old Julia Bear were found July 5th.

Police say robbery appears to have been the motive. Officers believe Everett Davis tried to conceal evidence that they believe played a part in the homicide.
