(Miami-AP) -- A Commerce woman has entered a plea of no-contest to charges of obtaining obscene material and child abuse. Thirty-eight-year-old Heike Gertrude Julian faces up to 45 years in prison. Formal sentencing is scheduled for August 15th. She's being held on $100,000 dollars bail.
David Anderson is an assistant district attorney for Ottawa County. Anderson says there is videotape evidence of Julian engaged in a sexual act with her daughter. Anderson says Julian also permitted her husband, Jarrod Julian, and other men to have sex with the girl. Anderson says the abuse began when the girl was five and continued until she was16-years-old.
Charges have also been filed against several men including Jarrod Julian. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 31st. One of the men charged committed suicide after being released on bond.
