(McAlester-AP) -- The former secretary of a homeowners association near Lake Eufaula is being charged with embezzlement for allegedly using the group's money to pay her personal bills.

Alma Lyn Mussyal is being charged in Pittsburg County District Court. A report released today also shows that more than $41,000 - or 71 percent of the Bristow Point Property Owners Association's expenditures are undocumented for the period between March 1st, 1996 to March 31st, 1999.

An audit requested by Pittsburg County District Attorney Kalyn Free shows that Mussyal used more than $8,000 of the group's money to pay personal bills. The audit also found that Bristow Point received a state grant of nearly $25,000 for economic development projects.

The group matched that grant with $8,800, then paid more than $33,000 for a fire truck that in 1998 was worth between $4,000 - $12,000.
