(Southhaven, Mississippi-AP) -- There will soon be a new team in the arenafootball2 league.

The DeSoto County Convention and Visitors Bureau has signed a deal to bring a new team to Southaven, Mississippi.

The yet unnamed team is owned by the same group that owns the Memphis RiverKings professional hockey team.

The league currently has eleven teams playing in such cities as Tulsa, Little Rock, Arkansas; Huntsville, Alabama; and Charleston, South Carolina. The new team will play its first game at Southaven in April 2001.
