Just in time for the holiday weekend, gas prices are starting to drop at some gas pumps around Tulsa
The main gasoline players prices-- Quik Trip, Git n' Go, Texaco, and Phillips, all dipped below the $1.60 mark to $1.59. Some of the smaller or independent stations gas prices are a little lower. Albertson's dropped its price to a $1.49 a gallon for a gallon of regular unleaded at all of its locations. Near midtown, the lowest we found is $1.45 at the Super Eleven located at 18th Street and Cincinnati Avenue.
Another hot spot is out east of town at the Flying J Truck Stop. The price dropped to a $1.47 and people lined up to fill up.
Prices are dropping outside of Tulsa, too. In Muskogee, York's One Stop is selling gas for a $1.55.
It's the same in Tahlequah, $1.55 per gallon at the E-Z Mart.
If you'll be in Stilwell, you'll find $1.55 at the Super Stop.
However, in Adair, the price is down to $1.51 a gallon.
Even though gas prices are dropping, they are still fifty percent higher than last summer, so this year's holiday road trip will cost you more.
