Hundreds of fans set their phasers for "fun" Saturday.

Trekkies turned out for Tulsa's annual Star Trek convention.

They saw some of the stars who made the show a hit, plus all kinds of merchandise and other fans who love the series as much as they do.

So what's the attraction to Star Trek?

One self-described Trekkie says itâ€™s the possibilities of that science fiction becoming reality one day.

â€œI think people could build ships and live in space maybe not as advanced as on the show, but I think people will live in space," says Brooks Powers, Trekkie.

Whether or not that happens, some people seem to enjoy living in it while they can.
The show continues through Sunday at Expo Square.
