(Washington-AP) -- There could be plenty of legal maneuvering left before the Microsoft case goes to the Supreme Court.

A federal judge agreed to a government request to send the anti-trust case to the high court today. But he also agreed to a company request delaying part of his June seventh order putting restrictions on Microsoft's business practices.

The judge had already stayed his order that Microsoft be broken up in two, pending all appeals.

Supreme Court justices are in the last few days of their current term and have not yet said whether they will accept the case. The
court could turn the case back to a federal appeals court for review.

Unless the justices speed their handling of the case, which government lawyers may seek, Microsoft will have until mid-August to file an appeal of the judge's ruling today.
