(Tulsa-AP) -- Tulsa assistant basketball coach Norm Roberts was the first to be interviewed for the head coaching vacancy created by Bill Self's departure for Illinois.
Roberts has been endorsed for the position by Self. He has been responsible for recruiting many of T-U's current players.
Tim Carter and Buzz Peterson are the next two candidates to be interviewed. Carter, who is head coach of Texas-San Antonio,reportedly will meet with T-U's interview committee Thursday afternoon.
Peterson, who is head coach at Appalachian State, will reportedly be interviewed on Saturday.
Roberts, Peterson and Carter worked alongside Self during the Leonard Hamilton era at Oklahoma State. They're considered the leading candidates along with Kentucky assistant coach Shawn Finney.
