Mother of football's Selmon brothers dies

(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Jessie Selmon, the mother of the Oklahoma Sooners' famous Selmon brothers, has died at age 84.
Funeral services for Mrs. Selmon are Saturday at Greater Mount Olive Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.
Three of her nine children -- Lucious, Dewey and Lee Roy --became All-America defensive lineman at O-U in the 1970s.
Lucious Selmon is the oldest of three.
Lucious says his mother was a great lady who treated all of he rkids as equals and, quote, "loved every one of us the same."
Mrs. Selmon was born August Second, 1915, in Huttonville, a community in McIntosh County.
She and her late husband, Lucious Senior, raised their children on a farm outside Eufaula. Mrs. Selmon moved to Oklahoma City in 1978.
Lucious was an All-American in 1973, when his brothers joined him as starters on O-U's defensive line. Dewey and Lee Roy made All-America in 1974 and '75.
