(Tulsa-AP) -- Some computer science experts at the University of Tulsa have been drafted in the war against "cyber terrorism."

The National Security Agency has designated T-U as an N-S-A Center of Excellence in Information Assurance. Tulsa is one of seven schools chosen nationwide by the agency.

Sujeet Shenoi is a professor of computer science at Tulsa. Shenoi says Tulsa's Center for Information Security will collaborate with Williams Communication Group to develop new strategies for Internet security.

T-U's front line will involve public telephone networks that are becoming susceptible to cyber terrorism as fiber-optic networks link to the Internet.
