(Norman-AP) -- The Oklahoma volleyball coaching staff added another Mahi to its ranks today.

Head coach Kalani Mahi named Joel McCartney and his wife Christy Mahi as assistant coaches for the upcoming season.

A third Mahi will be added to the O-U coaching family this summer. The Mahis are expecting their first child in June.

Christy Mahi served as assistant coach at Illinois State University for the past two seasons and was also an assistant to her husband at Bradley University before he came to O-U.

McCartney had been the head volleyball coach at Bellevue University in Nebraska for the past four years.

He played professional volleyball in Sweden for three years.
