(Salina-AP) -- The mayor of Salina has resigned, citing health problems.
City treasurer Frances Bump says Mayor Dale Scott had held the position for about three years. Scott was appointed by the town's Board of Trustees.
The board has named Helen Gurney as the new mayor.
