NEW YORK (AP) — Keith Foulke of the Chicago White Sox and Luis Polonia and Jim Poole of the Detroit Tigers will appeal fines and suspensions levied against them by major league baseball following last month's brawl.
Foulke and Polonia were each fined and suspended for three games and poole was fined for the fight, which occurred on April 21.
Six other players — Doug Brocail (four games) and Dean Palmer (eight games) of the Tigers; and Bobby Howry (three games), Carlos Lee (three games), Tanyon Sturtze (three games) and Magglio Ordonez (five games) of the White Sox — all dropped their appeals.
