(Muskogee-AP) -- A man running for mayor in Muskogee took some flack, but won't face charges, for using a city policeman and a police car in a campaign commercial.
After candidate Herschel McBride made the commercial on April 18th, his challenger, Jay Stephens, filed a complaint against him.
But county prosecutors say they won't press charges, claiming McBride had no willful intent to defraud the city.
McBride says he has offered to reimburse the city for the officer's time. He says the cost came to about nine dollars. Stephens says, try $750. The commercial started airing last weekend on a local cable T-V station.
