(Broken Arrow-AP) -- A man who allegedly conned his mother out of a ransom for his purported kidnapping is arrested sipping champagne in a rented limousine with his friends.
Nathaniel Reid Six was nabbed after a sting operation by Broken Arrow police.
His mother paid a ten thousand dollar ransom on April 19th after she got a letter saying the 20-year-old Six was being held hostage by drug dealers.
She got a similar ransom demand Monday and called police.
Police were at the woman's home when she agreed to pay five thousand dollars and meet with the kidnappers in the parking lot of the China Star Restaurant.
When the limo showed up, police arrested Six and four friends and found three bags of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, some cash and the champagne.
The friends were arrested on drug complaints but police say they did not know about the kidnapping plot.
