(Roland-AP) -- Sheriff's deputies responding to a call today from concerned coworkers found a woman in her home with her dead six-year-old son.
The discovery was made at a trailer home two miles northwest of Roland.
Kym Koch is a spokeswoman for the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.
Koch says 33-year-old Becca Pettit had missed work Monday and didn't show up again today.
After coworkers failed to reach her by phone, they called the Sequoyah County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies weren't able to get anyone to answer the door, so they got permission from relatives to enter and found Pettit and her son in a bedroom.
The cause of death was not immediately known. The case remained under investigation late today.
