(Norman-AP) -- Oklahoma center fielder Erin Evans was named Big 12 Softball Player of the Week.

Evans had a .778 batting average, going 7-for-9 as O-U beat Oklahoma State and took a two-game sweep of Texas in Austin.

The Lawton red shirt freshman is the third Sooner to win the weekly award with Mandy Fulton and Ashli Barrett winning back-to-back honors in late February.

The sixth-ranked Sooners are riding a nine-game winning streak and are 43-and-5 for the season.
