(Norman-AP) -- The Oklahoma women's golf team teed off Monday morning looking for their third straight Susie Maxwell Berning Classic title.

The Sooners have won five of the last seven Berning Classics .Texas Tech won in 1996 and 1994. Sooner Wendy Martin was the individual champion in 1999.

The Sooners are ranked 32nd in the MasterCard Collegiate Golf Rankings. Among the teams they'll be facing are Number 29 Nebraska, Number 36 Baylor and Number 43 Texas Tech.

The women will play 36 holes at O-U's Jimmie Austin Golf Course and 18 holes tomorrow.
