(Hockley-AP) -- A tornado touched down briefly in northwest Harris County early Sunday morning, near the town of Hockley.

There are no fatalities, although a trailer home was demolished and a several nearby trailers suffered severe damage. Debris and broken trees are strewn in a confined area where the tornado appears to have touched down for a short time.

An elderly woman and a five-year-old girl who police believe to be her granddaughter were injured and taken to Tomball Regional Medical Center. Power is out this morning to about 10,000 customers.

Hockley is about 35 northwest of Houston.
