TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- A workman was electrocuted this morning when the boom he was using to unload a fuel tank bumped a 13,200-volt powerline, officials said.
The man was standing outside the truck operating the boom when it touched the line, triggering a powerful jolt. A second worker and a dog who were inside the truck survived.
Public Service Co. spokesman Ed Bettinger said the men worked for Timmons Oil Co. and were placing the tank at the site to serve construction vehicles.
The line is a main feeder line, he said.
