(Las Vegas-AP) -- Basketball star Dennis Rodman has settled a lawsuit with a Las Vegas cocktail waitress who had accused him of picking her up by the sides of her breasts.

The case was scheduled to go to trial in federal court in Las Vegas on Monday. Rodman's Las Vegas attorney, William Urga, declined comment on the settlement, saying it was confidential.

48-year-old Connie Wilcox had said she filed suit against Rodman because she wanted to teach him a lesson.

She said she was serving drinks to Rodman's entourage in April of 1998 when the incident occurred.

Rodman, who was released recently from the Dallas Mavericks, has faced at least seven lawsuits in the past two years regarding his behavior in Las Vegas casinos.
