(Norman-AP) -- Soggy weather threatens the kickoff of spring practice for the Oklahoma Sooners today.
Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops says the coaches and players are eager to get going. Stoops says they don't plan on doing anything much differently than last year. He says the team wants to build on successes from a year ago.
Stoops says the goal is to give as many repetitions as possible to new players and younger players who didn't see much playing time last year.
This spring will be the first for assistant coach Chuck Long. And it will mark the first time that Mark Mangino has had the opportunity to tweak the offensive scheme as the Sooners offensive coordinator.
