(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A Japan-United States trade conference is planned for October in Tulsa.

Trends in world economy and managing technological changes will be topics at the conference. Masami Takemoto is a Japanese consul-general. Takemoto says the conference will allow Japanese businessmen to get acquainted with Oklahoma.

Takemoto detailed plans for the conference during a luncheon attended by about 70 business executives. The conference alternates between Tokyo and a U-S city. It has been held previously in New Orleans and Houston.
