(Kansas City-AP) -- Kelly Newton's 3-pointer with 22 seconds left in overtime sealed Oklahoma's 84-to-80 victory over Missouri in quarter-finals at the Big 12 tournament.
The Sooners meet Texas in a semifinal in Kansas City Saturday afternoon. The game follows Iowa State versus Oklahoma State.
Missouri's Clarence Gilbert missed from the left corner in the final seconds. Newton then tacked on two free throws for the final margin after he was fouled on the in bounds pass. Nolan Johnson had 21 points for the Sooners. Newton and Eduardo Najera had 13 each.
Gilbert, the Tigers 3-point specialist, was just 2-of-11 on3-point tries. But Gilbert still led Mizzou with 21 points. Keyon Dooling also had 21
