(Undated-AP) -- Nothing puts an extra bounce in a player's step more than a chance at first place. Before taking the court against Nebraska yesterday, Number Eight Oklahoma State heard about Colorado's miracle 102-to-90 overtime victory over Number 14 Iowa State
For the Cowboys, that meant beating the Huskers would produce at least a two-team tie for the Big 12 lead. The Cowboys trounced Nebraska 94-to-55. It didn't do Texas any harm either. The 17th-ranked Longhorns beat the Baylor Bears 60-to-38 and produced a three-way tie with Iowa State, Texas and Oklahoma State. All are ten-and-two.
Elsewhere in the Big 12 over the weekend, Missouri handed Kansas State a school-record-tying eleventh straight loss, 84-to-74. Also Texas Tech downed Texas A-and-M 76-to-64. Today Number 24 Kansas forced Eduardo Najera into scoring a season-low eight points and beat Number 20 Oklahoma 53-to-50
