(Norman-AP) -- The color analyst for Oklahoma men's basketball games has been reprimanded over remarks during Monday's radio broadcast of the Nebraska game. An unnamed studio board operator has also been reprimanded.
The reprimand was announced today by Learfield Communications and Sooner Sports Properties, the media rights holder for the O-U athletic department. Jeff Tennant is general manager of Sooner Sports Properties. Tennant says that during a break in the game, analyst Mark Matthew commented about a member of the Nebraska pompom squad. His microphone was on at the time.
Tennant says Matthew's comments were not suggestive or off colo rbut were -- quote -- "ill-advised, inappropriate and totally unrelated to the game or broadcast. Tennant says the incident resulted from errors by the technical and broadcast crew.
