Sapulpa businesses gave away $10,000 in cash Saturday afternoon to a lucky, local shopper.
About 14,000 people showed up for the big drawing. People who shopped at Sapulpa businesses got one ticket for every $10 they spent. Folks shopped and shopped, because there were about 800,000 tickets in the big hopper Saturday.
KOTV's Lori Fullbright got to draw the winning one worth $10,000. Butch LaSarge had the lucky number and is $10,000 richer because of it. He and his family got to take a limousine ride down to the bank and see what that much cash looks like all in one pile.
Congratulations to Mr. LaSarge, the Jingle Bell committee and all the Sapulpa businesses that worked hard to keep their local shoppers at home.
The winning ticket came from Sapulpa's Poppe Shoppe.
