A Tulsa couple is thankful to arrive safely in Murfreesboro, Tennessee after making an emergency landing in a private plane.
Brian and Chastity Driver, and their Dalmatian, were flying a Cherokee 180 they rented it near their home in Tulsa Wednesday. The couple were heading to visit Driver's parents for Thanksgiving. But mechanical problems forced them to land on Highway 50 in Hickman County Wednesday night.
Driver, a licensed pilot, glided the plane to a landing and parked it off the side of the road. But a passing car sheared off the end of a wing. A passenger in the car was treated at a nearby hospital and released. Driver told a Nashville TV station he's happy to be alive.
