The Deep Drone robot is back in the waters off Nantucket, Massachusetts, trying to recover the flight recorders from EgyptAir Flight 990.
A Navy spokesman says search crews were back in full operation at 1:30 p-m, Eastern time, when the mini-van robot went back into the water.
The search had been suspended since last night because of rough seas.
Search crews hope to recover the flight recorders today in order to find clues as to why the plane crashed into the Atlantic early Sunday, killing all 217 aboard.
An EgyptAir official says the captain of the downed jet was one of the best Boeing 767 pilots. He says the American-trained pilot had six-thousand hours in a 767.
Meanwhile, at least 340 family members have left their hotel in Newport, Rhode Island, to view some of the wreckage.
