A federal judge is expected to issue part of
his verdict tomorrow in the massive antitrust case against Microsoft.

The ruling could be a preamble to a final judgment that could come before year's end.

If he rules that Microsoft is an illegal monopoly, U-S District Judge Thomas Penfield Jackson could have a huge dilemma -- what to
do about it.

He could slice the software giant into parts or impose a range of lesser remedies.

The impact could be dramatic. The market value of Microsoft's stock is the highest of any company in any industry at nearly 472
(B) billion dollars. Its Windows software runs more than 90 percent of the world's computers.
