A female bartender who was reported to be
nude and drunk at a police social club has told investigators that she believes she was sexually assaulted.
Police Capt. Charles Allen said a criminal investigation of the incidents at the club early the morning of Sept. 25 is ongoing.
An internal investigation had been under way into alleged misconduct by Capt. Bill Martin.
Police Chief M.T. Berry said the latest crime incident report in the case was being released in "light of new information that came about on the 15th in which the victim advised that she believes she had been the victim of a sexual assault."
Berry released a 911 tape Friday in which Martin called a police dispatcher to ask for the Fraternal Order of Police president and a
police unit to be sent to the club, which is in the FOP building.
Martin told the dispatcher that the bartender was nude and drunk. He also said he saw people leave the building with bottles
of alcohol and said he saw condoms. Police reported seeing no condoms. The discrepancy is under investigation.
Martin could be heard on the tape begging the woman to put on clothes.
The names of those involved in the criminal investigation are not revealed on the police report.
Police said the woman advised investigators after a second formal interview Friday that she believes she was sexually assaulted. The report said that on Sept. 25, the woman denied being involved in any sexual activity and on Sept. 28, she said she was undressed against her will but did not believe she had been sexually assaulted.
